This is an art print reproduced from an original painting, painted in 1990. The subject is inspired by the Egyptian Revival craze of the 1920's, when the world was enthralled with the discovery of King Tut's tomb. The texture was created with plaster spackle as I wanted the painting to look antique.
I paint in a slightly exaggerated, stylized way using geometric and curvilnear shapes and lines. I am most inspired by cinema and the Golden Age of Hollywood which encompasses the Art Deco and Mid Century Eras. My work is considered to be glamorous and people most remember my artwork by the way I paint eyes. My favorite medium is acrylic although I also do colored pencil, ink and digital artwork, as well. My love for Architecture and Design is equal to the love I have for Fine Art. I love the world of art and I hope you enjoy what I've created.
