This is the sepia tone version of my painting Violet and Rose. The two 1920's era flappers in the painting are thoroughly modern with their bobbed hair and cloche hats and chemise dresses. The neutral sepia tones recapture the essence of Art Deco Hollywood during the Silent Screen era.
I paint in a slightly exaggerated, stylized way using geometric and curvilnear shapes and lines. I am most inspired by cinema and the Golden Age of Hollywood which encompasses the Art Deco and Mid Century Eras. My work is considered to be glamorous and people most remember my artwork by the way I paint eyes. My favorite medium is acrylic although I also do colored pencil, ink and digital artwork, as well. My love for Architecture and Design is equal to the love I have for Fine Art. I love the world of art and I hope you enjoy what I've created.
